Information for Youth

Calling all Sarnia-Lambton high school students! We challenge you to Change The World!

Ontario Youth Volunteer Challenge is an opportunity for young people to connect to community organizations and experience a variety of volunteer opportunities.  I also allow you to take the initiative on causes that you feel passionate about.

The 6-week campaign is a call-to-action to encourage students to participate in a variety of events and volunteer opportunities taking place in their communities. Students who volunteer for a minimum of 3 hours between April 23rd and June 3rd 2017 will be recognized with a certificate from the Ministry of Citizenship, Immigration and International Trade (MCIIT) and Sarnia Gives. This certificate is a great addition to student resumes and demonstrates their enthusiasm and interest in volunteerism and community involvement.

In addition to the 6-week campaign, volunteer opportunities will continuously be added to the Volunteer Opportunities Listing year-round, so keep checking back to find new and exciting opportunities!

Locally, the goal for Sarnia-Lambton is to reach 1000 hours! Help reach this goal by getting out there and giving back to your community!
